saving the environment just got easier

Dubuque Glass Recycling

We believe in making recycling easy and accessible for everyone. Our goal is to reduce waste and promote sustainability in our beautiful city, one glass vessel at a time.

Impact No.1

Glass remains for 1 million years.

Glass can take up to 1 million years to decompose in a landfill! This contributes to landfill congestion and overflow. When a landfill is overfilled it can leak harmful chemicals and pollutants into soil and water. Effecting us directly; and indirectly through the harm of our diverse ecosystems.

Impact No. 2

Glass contributes to global climate change.

As glass slowly breaks down within our landfills it releases methane, a potent greenhouse gas (GHG) that contributes to global climate change. This change affects ecosystems and habitats (i.e. glaciers and ice caps melting), and creates more extreme weather (i.e. hurricanes, droughts, and flooding).

Impact no. 3

Only 33% of glass is recycled.

Currently 67% of glass in the United States, that could have been recycled, is sitting in a landfill. Help us decrease that number, and save our planet: recycle your glass with convenience and ease!
